Several steps are involved in the selection process. You may expect the process to take a minimum of sixty (60) days. Successful completion of all steps involved does not guarantee that you will be employed. If you are not among the applicants selected, you will receive written notification within thirty (30) days after selections are made. IPSO reserves the right to terminate the process at any time without notification to the applicant as to the reason why.

Steps To Application: To be considered for employment, applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and must possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, honorable discharge (if prior military), and no record of felony convictions. The hiring process includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Passing the Test of Adult Basic Education
• Satisfactory completion of the employment application
• Successful background investigation and oral interview

Upon acceptance of a conditional job offer, new employees must also successfully complete a medical and psychological examination and drug screening. The process may also involve a physical agility test involving the essential functions of the job for which the applicant is applying.

Applicants may further be required to undergo a polygraph examination regarding background and character. Subject areas from which questions are drawn include financial status, physical condition, work record, honesty, use of alcohol, driving record, arrests and convictions, drugs, narcotics, gambling, blackmail, friends, relatives, associates, and loyalty to the United States.
